The House will reportedly vote Thursday to try to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” so this is our last chance to urge Congress to stop the repeal. The Pentagon released a statement Tuesday saying that "[Defense] Secretary Gates continues to believe that ideally the DOD review should be completed before there is any legislation to repeal the Don't Ask Don't Tell law…" During his State of the Union address, President Obama argued for the repeal of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy regarding homosexuals in the military. “Don’t ask, don’t tell,” allows homosexuals to serve so long as they are discreet. Since then the military has been conducting an internal review as to whether or not repeal would be beneficial. The reason for the military not openly endorsing a disordered sexual lifestyle is simple: Military readiness. Allowing homosexuals to serve openly undermines unit cohesion which is absolutely necessary when your life depends on it. Soldiers are forced to live in extremely close quarters and have enough to worry about without introducing the dysfunction of same sex perversion into their unit. Maybe that’s why 75% of those in the military oppose the change. Repealing “don’t ask, don’t tell” is simply President Obama paying back his radical, homosexual activist friends. TAKE ACTION: Make sure to call these six Senators today and say “Do not insert or repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in the Pentagon budget. Don’t force open homosexual aggression into the Defense Authorization Act. Protect our troops, protect our national security, and keep Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in place.”
