Christian Chaplains Reinstated Print E-mail

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnellWhile serving as the governor of Virginia, Time Kaine told Virginia state police chaplains that they either needed to stop praying in Jesus’ name or resign from their jobs. So six chaplains turned in their badges rather than compromise their faith and conscience.

But this is a gross misapplication of the Constitution and a violation of the religious liberties of state employees. Thankfully newly elected Virginia Governor, Bob McDonnell, made good in his campaign promise, and chaplain are now allowed to pray in Jesus’ name.

We are very grateful that McDonnell has restored the rights of Chaplains to pray publicly in accordance with their Christian convictions. The six chaplains who were forced to resign have also been reinstated and their religious liberties protected.

Praise God for this wonderful victory!
